Coalition Building  The Randolph Group has extensive experience in coalition building around a myriad of issues. Our firm assists clients with grassroots campaign efforts to bring the right people together to drive policy change and advance efforts on a local, state, or national level. We recognize there is strength in the power of coalition building to build a critical mass to influence positive changes in communities. We  specialize in forming coalitions that are strong in their diversity and inclusiveness that explicitly prioritizes equity in their issue advocacy.  Issue Advocacy The Randolph Group provides critical tools to our clients to address the issues they care about most. Issue areas we support are parks, open space, green schoolyards, access to schoolyards through shared use/joint use agreements and policy adoption, equitable access to walking and biking in communities. Specifically, we play critical attention to racial equity and health equity in these areas, as we recognize often the communities that could benefit from these strategies often don't have access to the advocacy tools needed to advance  progress in their communities. We have had the pleasure of assisting to develop and produce national forums, key stakeholder tours to highlight critical work to illustrate local projects. Event management include working collaboratively with your team to identify key speakers and shape the agenda to reach your key audience and advance your cause.

With over 15 years of experience working internationally, nationally, and locally on a variety of public policy issues and strategic communications campaigns, Mikaela is equipped to meet your company’s needs. Her understanding of organizational culture will assist in building capacity in areas you need and designing strategic communications to meet your companies needs. Mikaela has experienced a multitude of success working in all levels of government, non-profit and the private sector. Mikaela is an accomplished public policy expert with a keen ability to translate complex policy issues to multiple audiences. Mikaela enjoys working on a variety of issues ranging from land-use, transportation, housing, economic development, and community development. She acknowledges the value of these issues independently but thrives on the opportunity to identify the points of intersection. She believes this affords the opportunity to identify and bring strategic partners to the table to progress innovative solutions. Strategic partnerships have played a critical role in advancing the work of multiple organizations by ensuring diverse voices are a part of the solution. Mikaela is a skilled facilitator, facilitating national and local coalitions to influence policy change at the state and national level to smaller workgroups or trainings at the local level to assist businesses in navigating complex challenges to achieve their end goals. Whether it’s assisting in a capacity -building or navigating a longer-term process, Mikaela is engaging, energetic and stands poised to address your organizational needs. Mikaela holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Southern California and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Communication Studies and Urban Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
